Melinda Powers’ practice focuses on all areas of general litigation including professional liability defense, construction litigation, business torts, contract disputes and insurance litigation.

Melinda graduated from Presbyterian College where she was recognized as a Dillard-Elliott Scholar and a Palmetto Fellow. She received her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of law where she was active in Moot Court and participated in the Ruby R. Vale Interschool Corporate Moot Court Competition. While at Tulane, Melinda earned a certificate in European Legal Studies and studied European Union Law and Comparative Law in Sienna, Italy.

Following law school, Melinda returned to her hometown of Greenville, South Carolina and began her professional career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Larry R. Patterson, Resident Judge for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina.

Melinda lives in Greenville and is an active member of John Knox Presbyterian Church. She is involved with Habitat for Humanity and enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors.
